Lauréat du Pli Public Workshop, BehaghelFoiny y présente son projet « Tubulure » au Pavillon de l'Arsenal. Inspiré par le thème de l’exposition « Obsession », le duo de designers initie une démarche d’exploration esthétique et intuitive autour de leur fascination pour le « tube » d’aluminium sous sa forme de semi produit industriel. A partir de ce matériau énigmatique, il répètent de manière obsessionnel un même protocole de fabrication : détendre le long ressort métallique, le tordre, le solidifier, puis l'habiller d'un pâte colorée. Le temps du Pli Public Workshop a été l’occasion d’explorer des procédés de fabrication et de création singuliers, en deçà d’une industrie lourde et de la standardisation des gouts qui en résulte. La série de prototypes issus de cette recherche prennent la forme d’une installation lumineuse scénographiée par Adrien Rovero.

Winner of the Pli Public Workshop, BehaghelFoiny presents his project "Tubulure" at the Pavillon de l'Arsenal. Inspired by the theme of the exhibition "Obsession", the design duo initiated an aesthetic and intuitive exploration of their fascination for the aluminum "tube" as a semi industrial product. From this enigmatic material, they repeat in an obsessive way the same protocol of manufacture : to slacken the long metal spring, to twist it, to solidify it, then to dress it with a coloured paste. The time of the Pli Public Workshop was the opportunity to explore the singular processes of manufacturing and creation, below a heavy industry and the standardization of tastes that results from it. The series of prototypes take the form of a light installation designed by Adrien Rovero.
